## FAQ
### Will my kitchen be usable during the work?
Boxes will be masked and we run dust containment, so most clients keep using the kitchen evenings. Doors are off site for spraying and curing, and the schedule is in your estimate.

### How is this different from a brush and roll job?
We spray with cabinet grade finishes that level out flat. The result is closer to a factory finish than a paint job: no brush marks, no roller texture.

### How long until I can use my cabinets normally?
Light use the day they come back (24 to 48 hours after install). Full cure on the urethane is 14 to 21 days. Avoid heavy scrubbing or sticky food spills during cure. The finish only gets harder from there.

### Will the white finish yellow over time?
Not with the products we use. We spray Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel or Dunn Edwards Aristoshield, both waterborne and engineered non yellowing. We do not use solvent based lacquers on white finishes because those do yellow.

### Can you change the color from oak to white or white to dark?
Yes. Color changes are routine. White over dark stain takes an extra primer coat and adds a day. Dark over white needs full sand back to bare. We quote both scenarios up front so you know what is included.

### Do you fill the wood grain on oak cabinets?
Standard refinish leaves the oak grain telegraphing slightly under the topcoat. If you want a fully smooth factory look, we offer optional grain filling for an additional 10 to 20 percent on the project. Worth it on white or light colors where the grain is more visible.

### Do I need to replace hardware?
No. We reinstall existing hinges and pulls at no extra cost. If you want new hardware, we coordinate the order and install during reassembly so you get one continuous timeline.

### How do you handle the dust and smell during the project?
We mask floor to ceiling with plastic, run HEPA air scrubbers in the kitchen, and seal the kitchen off from the rest of the house with ZipWalls. The waterborne urethanes we spray off gas in 2 to 4 days, not weeks.

### What is your warranty on Cabinet Refinishing?
Every estimate spells out a written workmanship warranty on the spray finish against peeling, cracking, and chipping under normal use, so you know exactly what is covered. Manufacturer paint warranties apply on top. We come back for warranty touch ups at no charge.

### Can you do the bathroom vanity in the same project?
Yes. Adding the master or guest vanity is common and adds 1 day plus $400 to $900 depending on size. We spray it the same week so all your cabinet work matches in finish and color.

### Are the boxes sprayed on site or taken off?
Boxes stay in place and we spray on site after full masking. Doors and drawer fronts go to our climate controlled finishing area. This combination gets the best finish on the doors (most visible parts) without the cost and risk of moving boxes.

### What is your typical lead time to start a Cabinet Refinishing project?
2 to 3 weeks from approval to start during normal season. Slightly longer in spring when demand peaks. Same week starts are sometimes possible if a slot opens up.
